Hello Everyone!
I am a freshman at
Eastern Michigan University and as I am sure you can already tell I
am taking Introduction to Gender and Sexuality. From this point on I
will be talking about Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer
(LGBTQ) movements in the past, present, and the future.
I want to share a little bit of
information about myself so you can get a sense of who I am! I am
attending school to hopefully become a veterinarian. I come from
parents that are divorced but still consider us a close family. I was
raised a Catholic but don't identify with any religion currently.
Lastly, I have one brother who is homosexual who is a huge supporter
in anything I do. So not surprising, I am 100% behind gay marriage
and gay rights. With this blog I want to express my own opinions as
well as become much more open minded and learn more about the history
of LBGTQ movements and just in general. I will admit I know very few
things about LGBTQ and their movements to gain their rights, so I am
excited to not only learn for the sake of my class but I to learn
more for the sake of my beliefs. My goal for my blog post are to
inform readers with reliable information but to also express my
opinions and views on certain movements. Hope you enjoy!

I thought you're introduction blog was perfect, I love how you adding information about yourself because it gave me a sense of who you are as a person and a writer. I also love how you adding in your connection to the LGBT community with your brother. Overall it was a solid introduction to your portion of the blog :)

As a reader of this blog, I feel that this little bit of information makes you credible on what you will be talking about since you have experience in your own life.
